Regarding doing frm and forgetting cfa portion—-You’ve answered your own doubt. Most ppl do both cfa and frm together as they compliment each other… so remembering things won’t be an issue. Also—cfa is all about concepts….so the question of remembering doesn’t come. It’s a q of application—that can happen via practicing questions only.
so no—frm shouldn’t hamper your cfa portion studied as such. But ofcourse, if you still have reservations and are confident that you don’t want to mix them up, then don’t. Always take advice but listen to your gut instinct too!!
Hi Hardik Did you take the Mock2 exam? If yes, then request you to check your email and/or telegram. Communication was sent an hour ago regarding clarification on this question (there’s a mistake in Option C). Hope this clarifies.

HI Jitesh
hope things are better at your end now.
I’ll guide you, and it may sound offbeat–but your situation is unique. But trust me, its achievable:
Regarding review classes–they area an add-on, i think its ok to skip them and jump straight into question practice. they are v imp no doubt….but not at the cost of losoing out on practicing questions.
You need lots of practice. Can you tell me how many hours yuu are putting in everyday? as in, do you have any other commitments like work etc or are you a full time student who can give 10-14 hours a day till exams?
say you plan to study and complete syllabus by jan end–i would suggest you cut some time in watching classes (say 20-25% time) and instead practice 70-100 q everyday (effectively utilising about 2-2.5 hrs on practice everyday). Try to focus on the fact that you can watch 1.5 class in 3 hours (approx)… but utilising the same time for practicing q from varied topics will gear your level by several notches... got the logic of what i am saying? most students fail to do this simple math and regret later that they spent 90% time on watching lectures and v less time on self practice.
So my strong advice—practice aggressively from all sources instead of running after few topic lectures that are left… (sources= cand res practice questions—there’s about 2800+ q there!…. plus dont miss taking the cfai official mock–there’s 4 or 6 i think…pls find on your cfa dashboard)
in feb—spend full time into practicing q….also make sure you review the paper/answers properly…because reviewing why you were wrong or why you guessed right is also the most imp aspect….candidates sometimes ignore this. they look at the accuracy levela nd move on. no….you neeed to look at all explanations…1 question explaantion will give you 3 knowledge bites (one each for each option)…imagine the kind of revision you will be doing…its called interactive learning (not passive like watching lectures)
ssei mocks– repeat dates are 25th jan / 1st feb and 5th feb…. try take them…but dont judge yourself on that basis. just use it as a source of practicing new q. as you are in a different boat right now. the mocks are tough…so pls dont get disheartened. if you cant take the sectional mocks on 25th&1st…simply take the final mock (all 10 topics) on 5th feb.
You seem to be a sorted and well thought person. Your clarity of mind is pretty much evident. Given the fact that you are well prepared for L1 already and scored well in mock...there’s no reason why you shouldn’t move on to prepare for another exam of your choice...frm in this case dont worry aboutRead more

dont worry about mixing up the 2 curriculums…they complement each other. Max students do cfa frm together only…so be confident and start frm prep (ofcourse you need to figure if you actually want to or not do frm course)

sitting for aug is fine, but will require Regular study strategy. It’s easily achievable if you respect the curriculum and give it its due attention.
Make sure to complete all studies (whether or not you take coaching) by June end. So that you have 40 days for pure practicing and mocks.

Hi Nikhil
Really sorry for the last response..I’ll compensate by giving you a v comprehensive advice.
Let me give you a few pointers:
Starting now (Jan end) is a perfect time to start your L1 prep. Do not delay or procrastinate in starting off
You can watch the classes as per the sheet provided by ssei alongwith the classes…that sheet is set by Sanjay Sir himself
If you wish to follow a different style… i would suggest you to pick 3-4 topics simultaneously…say 2 of practical & theory each. You should start off with derivatives basics & tvm classes for sure as these will help you get a feeler of the L1 curriculum and also you’ll learn the basic texas key-strokes in these classes.
If you would like to know–the most intetresting topics are deriv, fixed income, ethics….equity is half practical, half theory stuff..same with alt inv…qm may be a bit intense for some…fra is analytical (not mechanical like bcom/bba accounts), but the syllabus is HUGE….corp f is damn easy..portf. is new stuff, but moderately easy…Overall curriculum is awesome (like really interesting and conceptual)…Eco is interesting and not mechanical like the bcom curriculum!
Keep Ethics for May-June-July period
If you want to comfortably pass and not create last moment rush–complete all classes by June End..thats the max…keep full July & 20 days in Aug for review
By review–i mean Practice Practice Practice….meaning interactive revision…practice 1000s of questions…mocks…
last but not the least—-do not make the mistake of watching lectures blindly…practice topic questions simultaneously (70% students watch classes to just mechanically take the notes…without practicing…and complain on scoring less that ‘i toh did so much aggressive prep…still couldn’t score well’. That’s because question practice right after watching that lecture ensures that your brain is ‘applying’ the logic taught in class. So beware on this one
All the best…enjoy studying for Level 1. Its one of the best things that will happen to you in terms of building concepts and knowledge base.
