There is a very thin line of difference between the two—–
A partner by estoppel is someone who is not a partner of a firm, but allows others to think that he is a partner, through his behaviour or conduct. A partner by holding out is someone who is not a partner of a firm, but knowingly allows the firm to project to others that he is a partner of the firm.
Partner by estoppel—-not a partner—–but he himself projects to be the partner of the firm…
Partner by holding out—-not a partner—-the firm projects him to be the partner of the firm and the individual who is being represented as a partner is not denying.
