Sir by mistake you have given reference to wrong Original Sum in your mat…you have given reference of Q. 54….it should be Q.53 .
Hi sir, regarding your answer for Q2(b) of May 22 SFM CA Final paper, i interpreted the sub-part (vi) to mean:
first, calculating the opportunity cost of waiting till expiry of 12 months in the two MF to be sold
then, comparing with exit tax of 5% if sold prematurely
For one, it is beneficial to wait about 90 days for 1 year to be over, so we wait till then, and only then sell. For the other, it is beneficial to sell asap and take exit tax hit, so we sell now
lastly. Calculation of final NAV after these actions and % return
this interpretation made more sense to me than what you’ve posted, could this be correct?
It seemed to me that this publication was more of an academic nature and that there were indeed points that could have been improved…
