Sir, I am a CFA level 1 Feb 2022 candidate. I gave both mocks. Although I haven’t done with all candidate resources questions, after giving mocks, I am kind of feeling anxious because of low scores. I keep on forgetting during the test. After the test when I review, the mistakes seem so silly. I am feeling demotivated. Can you plz advise how should I boost my confidence level? Because somewhere I think I am putting too much pressure on myself that I am not able to use my mind effectively or more naturally.

Hi Nami
1. First things first—-pls let go of the anxiety/stress—-it’s only going to depreciate your efficiency & sanity.
2. Reiterating—-mocks are not meant to demotivate you. Feel blessed that you faced the CBT exam way in advance & now can re-strategise & do damage control in the next 2 weeks—-but uske lie sabse pehle apne psychology and attitude ko sambhalna padega. If you think positively, you’ll be able to pull through. Keep thinking negatively & fearfully—-you’ll end up messing even what you already know. I know it’s easier said than done—-but rise up & don’t give in to the pressure!
3. Analyse your performance—-have you consistently made mistakes in all 10 topics? Or have you scored better in topics your are confident and scored less in topics that you were jittery about? This analysis is something that only & only you can do.
4. Divide your time between concept brushing of parts that you feel you did all wrong (eg Deffered tax FRA Or hypothesis QM)—-and keep practicing questions consistently every single day.
5. Also check if you are ignoring a particular topic completely—-say Ethics or maybe Corp Fin. You cannot do this on the CFA exam. Every topic is imp to make it to the finish line…even if it’s a small topic like Alt or Deriv.
6. Listen to your Fav music!!! Trust me, helps a lot to clear the mind & feel high!
hope these simple suggestions help.
