Hi sir
Richa this side. Im pursuing bcom from Calcutta University right now and I’m in my second year of graduation. Its been a while now that I’ve been watching your videos on YouTube and the way you teach really excites me to start my cfa journey but at the same time since i come from a middle class family i have a major financial crunch. My graduation will be completed by next year July and after that I’m planning to take the level 1 exam. In which month shall I take the exam? And shall i go for any other course also along with cfa because i want to increase my knowledge in this domain and also want a good career out of it.
Hello Richa
Since you would be graduating mid of next year, you are eligible to take the CFA Level 1 exam. However, it’s recommended that you give yourself a 10-12 months window for comprehensive and concept focussed preparation.
Accordingly, you should start your prep for Aug’24 CFA Level 1 exam. I am not suggesting May’24 as that might conflict with your final year graduation exams or be in near vicinity of the same.
Given Aug’24, it is advisable to start your prep in a gradual manner on an immediate basis starting with QM.
You should go through the following 2 videos for a better perspective.
How many month’s preparation is required for CFA Level 1?
How to crack CFA Level 1 in the first attempt?
