it is not compulsory for a company to pay dividend. prerfernceshare holders have right to recieve dividend before payment to equity shares. we know that a company can refuse to pay dividned to equity share even if it earns profit. Q- can a company deny paying dividends to its prefernce holders even if it has earned adequate profit…. for eg— profit in -21-22 is 10 lakh and dividend to prefernce holder is 4lakhs. can a company deny giving dividend to prefernce shareholders because it is not compulsory to pay dividends because prefernce share have prefernce in getting dividedn before equity shaeholders

Normally speaking if company has made profit it will have to pay pref dividend
