Good morning Sir
I am S—-m, a 3rd year Xaviers bcom student (kolkata)

Currently i’m getting the opportunity of campus placement at xaviers…
I havent interned anywhere …and did not do any productive work during the lockdown…in the last 3-4 months i have started investing a bit and following the markets a bit…but i think thats not enough…should i go for campus placement as i also feel my cv is not so strong…i am keen on preparing well for L2 from mid-march…what should i do…like should i clear L2 and then appear for L3 in Nov2021 and then look for jobs…or should i try the campus pl. thing..
I am also interested in sports finance as a field…it intrigues me,…have also won some competitions in sports quiz etc…
Pls guide I’m really confused…i am not sure how to go about it…
pls listen to Sanjay Sirs response
Just to add to what Sanjay Sir has said. It’s obviously a great opportunity to start working for the first time. You should definitely sit in the campus placement but remember one thing, managing studies with your job won’t be easy. Many do manage quite well but it takes a lot of effort. Let’s take my example. I am a CFA L2 candidate just like you and I work in credit research as an analyst. It’s been just around 4 months that I started working and I’m a fresher. My work schedule is so hectic that I have to spend around 9-10 hrs minimum on my system. Being in this WFH culture, companies are demanding that we should put more hours as we are in home and relaxed. After spending 9-10 hrs I feel like just eating and sleeping. I still manage to study around 3 hours daily in the morning. Why morning, because once I get exhausted till night, there’s no motivation left to study after office hours, even if I have time. So I have decided to resign in this May. This happens with so many similar candidates like us. But yes, It depends on how strong you are at your will. For many managing studies with their jobs is easy. Self evaluation is must. All the best
