In order to trade, one must have a view that can be of 2 types:
1. Directional : Bullish/Bearish
2. Volatility: Volatile/Non volatile.
If you aren’t bullish or bearish, you got to trade on volatility.
If your view is high volatility , you can enter seedha sauda (buying options) say long straddle or long strangle
If your view is low volatility, you can enter Ulta sauda (selling options)(risky) say short straddle or short strangle.
However at SSEI, mixed sauda is recommended in which you buy as well as sell options like ratio spread, bull call spread, butterfly and its variations (with respect to strike price , Greeks and expiry).
There must be a few videos of mixed sauda on SSEI markets youtube channel. You can check and backtest them. You may also find some content on Qforum blogs where sanjay sir shared a derpo strategy.
Thanks
