dekho type 1 error kya hota hai. it is probability of rejecting Ho when it is true and its probability given is alpha. dekho alpha tail ki probability btata hai jha humara Ho reject hota hai agar humara alpha jada honga toh type 1 error jada honga kyoki test statistic ki value tail mei lie krne ke chances jada honge. now come to the type 2 error. it is the probability of rejecting Ho when it is true. Ho kb accept krte hai jb vo confidence interval mei lie krta hai agar hum alpha km kerenge in order to decrease type 1 error toh confidence interval increase honga toh type 2 error ke chance jada honge but keep in mind 1-alpha is not the probability of type 2 error. in order to trade off between type 1 error and type 2 error, we have increase our sample size so that humara jo result aaye vo correct ho.
Thanks,
Just to correct that Type II error is accepting H0 when it is false, as far as i know.
oh ha vo jldi mei glt likh diya
